October 2 is International Wrongful Conviction Day. It’s a day dedicated around the world to raising awareness of the causes of wrongful conviction and to recognizing the profound impact that wrongful convictions have on innocent people and their families.

At the request of the Oregon Innocence Project, Governor Tina Kotek has proclaimed Friday Wrongful Conviction Day in Oregon, observing that wrongful convictions are an injustice that robs an innocent person of their life and liberty. Mayor Keith Wilson has issued a similar proclamation for the City of Portland and is encouraging Portlanders to be aware of and celebrate our work to help free wrongfully convicted Oregonians. Plus, the Morrison Bridge in Portland will be lit in orange from Friday night to Sunday night to celebrate.

In conjuction with the proclamations, our wonderful local business partners below are participating in a community fundraiser, where a portion of the day's proceeds goes directly toward fighting for our clients' freedom. We encourage you to patronize these businesses on October 2nd and beyond.
